Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN in New York, Amir Saied Iravani, said that a U.S. statement accusing Iran of hiding military hardware in civilian sites constitutes a clear misrepresentation of an official UN document.

Iravani made the remarks late on Tuesday in a letter addressed to the UN Secretary-General, and the UN Security Council president in a response to the U.S. statement delivered during a Security Council meeting on April 7.
the U.S. representative, in his statement, made an “unsubstantiated and misleading reference” to the UN chief’s report, in a cynical attempt to attribute to the Islamic Republic of Iran conduct that is neither reflected in, nor supported by, that report, said Iravani.
