Speaking to reporters, Baqaei denied media reports claiming that Iran had invited the IAEA to inspect its nuclear facilities.

According to paragraph 8 of the MoU between Iran and the US, negotiations on the nuclear issue will take place within a 60-day timeframe, contingent upon the fulfillment of the prerequisites for the start of negotiations as stipulated in paragraph 13 of the document.

Paragraph 9 of the MoU states that during the 60-day period, the current status of Iran’s nuclear program will be maintained, he said.

Consequently, ongoing inspections of facilities like Bushehr will continue. However, inspections of facilities where IAEA access had been halted due to US-Israeli attacks will be subject to the negotiation process and its outcome, he added.
