During a phone conversation with his French counterpart, Jean-Noël Barrot, on Monday, Araghchi said despite progress on many issues discussed, “the U.S. prevented the achievement of an agreement due to its excessive demands and the continuous change of its demands.”
The top French diplomat, for his part, reaffirmed his country’s support for a diplomatic solution to end the war. He also hoped that with the continuation of talks a final deal would be reached within the framework of the Islamabad talks.
