A fresh round of talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, mediated by Pakistan, concluded late Sunday after about 21 hours of intensive discussions without reaching an agreement.
An informed source said that the U.S. side demanded Iran reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and hand over enriched materials.
The source said such demands “that were not achieved on the battlefield and led to the Tabas-2 fiasco for the United States cannot be demanded at the negotiating table,” adding that the Iranian team is firmly insisting on preserving its field achievements.
