The Iranian embassy in London urged the U.S. to abandon its “illusions of consecutive victories” and instead adopt a path of respect toward regional nations.

“Instead of indulging in illusions of consecutive victories and sacrificing your military forces, planes, and helicopters to serve Netanyahu’s war-driven ambitions, you should choose the right path: respect the Iranian people and all peoples of the Persian Gulf region, so that regional peace and prosperity, including safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, can be realized,” the embassy advised Washington in a post published on X on Sunday.
The statement came in response to repeated claims by Trump about achieving military successes in the war of aggression against Iran.
Trump, who has faced setbacks in meeting his stated objectives, has continued to issue messages on social media using threatening language toward Tehran.
In his first public address to the American people one month after the conflict began, Trump reiterated previous claims, including asserting that Iran will be pushed back to the “Stone Ages,” remarks that have drawn criticism internationally.
Despite the rhetoric, Trump has also spoken of negotiations with Tehran, even as his administration is accused of launching attacks twice during ongoing talks.
