In a phone call, the two sides discussed regional developments and the security and economic consequences of the U.S.-Israeli war of aggression against Iran.
Earlier in a phone conversation, Araghchi had said any provocative action by the aggressors and their allies, including in the UN Security Council, in the Strait of Hormuz would further exacerbate the situation.
He had strongly criticized some European countries which have kept silence in the face of U.S.-Israeli atrocities.
