The top spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces says the situation in the Strait of Hormuz will not return to its pre-war state.

Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi said on Thursday that even if the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran ends, the Islamic Republic will not leave the Americans alone unless its conditions are met.

“The Islamic Republic changed its doctrine after the 12-day war. We have shifted from a defensive to an offensive doctrine. However, this does not mean invading other countries, as the Americans do. They call it defense, but it means occupation and aggression,” he said.

Shekarchi made clear that Iran has not invaded any country in the past 47 years and will not do so.

“Iran’s offensive doctrine means that if a country attacks us, we will strike back until it is destroyed and we do not leave them,” he added.

In fact, the spokesperson went on, the defensive strategy will continue “until we achieve victory and reach our goals, and we will continue to deter and pursue aggressors to ensure that the shadow of war is never again cast over the Islamic Republic.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, General Shekarchi said that all 17 US bases in West Asia have been destroyed and the US military was not able to protect any of them.

“Today, America’s biggest strategy to escape war is to escape in a dignified manner, not disgracefully,” he added.
