During Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to the occupied territories, New Delhi is seeking to deepen strategic relations and expand defense cooperation with Tel Aviv — ties that include the joint development of the anti-ballistic missile defense system.

It is expected that both sides will sign a memorandum of understanding on security collaboration during the trip, though no new defense agreement will made, as bilateral defense cooperations between the two close allies are already underway, and is estimated to reach a value of around $10 billion in the coming years.
Although both governments have remained officially silent on the details of the visit, reports suggest that Israel has agreed to transfer its latest defense technologies to India, including advanced laser defense systems and other stand‑off systems.
