Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s strikes on Lebanon carried out yesterday and last night — including the Bekaa Valley and the Ain al‑Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in Sidon — which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of more than 40 Lebanese and Palestinian civilians.

Referring to the continued violation of Lebanon’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the repeated breaches of the November 2024 ceasefire agreement, Baghaei emphasized the direct responsibility of the United States and France, as guarantors of that ceasefire, for the actions of the Israeli regime.
He further urged the United Nations and the Security Council to take immediate measures to fulfill their legal obligations to halt Israel’s military aggressions.
