The Naval Forces of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) have attacked a US military unmanned surface vessel (USV) that was attempting to enter the protected area of the Strait of Hormuz.

“The heroic IRGC Navy has attacked a US military unmanned surface vessel (USV) that was attempting to enter the protected area of the Strait of Hormuz,” the IRGC said in a statement early Sunday.
The statement said the force is closely monitoring any enemy move and will confront it decisively.
The statement added that the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic waterway, is under the management of the Islamic Republic of Iran, warning that any move by the enemy would be met with a firm response.
“The aggressor United States should know that it has no choice but to leave the region and stop its mischief,” the IRGC emphasized.
