Brigadier General Ali Jahanshahi, Commander of the Army Ground Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, referring to the Force’s operational capabilities, modern equipment, and motivated, professional personnel, announced, “This Force is fully prepared to stand against any enemy’s ground movements.”

He noted that while the Army played a decisive role in the victory of the Revolution and answered the call of the Islamic Republic’s founder, it remained in the service of the people. However, in the early days of the Revolution, some adversaries lying in wait for its downfall, and some of misguided individuals called for dissolving the Army, an idea firmly rejected by Imam Khomeini due to his deep foresight.
Jahanshahi added that throughout the 47 years since the Revolution, the Army has spared no effort in defending the Islamic Republic, and its personnel consistently demonstrated loyalty to Islam and the Revolution, most clearly reflected in the first, second, and third imposed wars.
