Saeid Khatibzadeh, Deputy Foreign Minister, said Tehran rejects any form of temporary ceasefire, and insists on a full cessation of hostilities across the region.

He stressed that any ceasefire must cover all areas of conflict “from Lebanon to the Red Sea,” describing this as Iran’s red line.
Khatibzadeh added that the cycle of confrontation must be brought to a permanent end.
Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, he noted that the historic waterway has always remained open and, despite lying within Iranian waters, is considered as an international transit route.
