Iran’s Ambassador to Russia stressed that Iranian officials are in contact with Russia to complete the Bushehr nuclear power plant.

Kazem Jalali, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ambassador in Moscow, expressed hope early Friday that the construction and completion of new units at the Bushehr plant in Southern Iran would proceed more quickly.
Speaking to Russia’s RIA Novosti news agency, Jalali said, “We are constantly in contact with each other, and we hope that conditions will be created so that Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom’s employees can carry out their work.”
Following the recent aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran, Russia evacuated most of its experts from the Bushehr plant.
Responding to a question about Iran’s decision to levy a toll on vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, Jalali said exemptions have been considered for friendly countries.
Iran’s ambassador to Russia also noted that Iran’s Foreign Ministry is currently working to make use of the exceptions that have been granted to friendly nations such as Russia.
