The head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council says hostility by the US and Israel toward Iran stems from its Islamic and revolutionary nature, stressing that Iran is preventing the realization of the so-called “Greater Israel” plot.

According to UniNews, Sheikh Ali Damoush said Iran has been targeted because it is the only country that still stands in the axis of opposition to the Israeli regime.
Referring to enemies’ efforts for possible military aggression against Iran, Damoush said, “War against Iran today, before it serves the interests of the US, serves the interests of Israel,” adding that Tel Aviv is seeking to derail the negotiation process between Tehran and Washington and create pretexts to ignite war.
The Hezbollah official stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Axis of Resistance have blocked the expansionism of the Tel aViv regime and the realization of the so-called “Greater Israel” scheme in the region.
Achieving this project and enabling the regime to dominate the region has a key path, namely eliminating Iran and its regional allies, but they have stood against it, he said.
Elsewhere, Damoush described the Resistance as the source of Lebanon’s power and deterrence against Israel over the past 30 years, emphasizing, “Everyone must know that our people will not surrender and remain determined to fully obtain their rights.”
“Our people, who sacrificed their best leaders and sons, will not abandon the resistance and its achievements,” he said, adding that Resistance “is a legitimate right and will remain a symbol of Lebanon’s dignity and pride, and no one, regardless of their position, can eliminate it or strip it of its right to exist.”
