Major General Abdollahi, in a message marking the arrival of the 2nd of Ordibehesht (April 22), the anniversary of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), described this day as a reminder of the epic, fateful, and enduring role-playing of this revolutionary and popular institution in safeguarding the achievements of the Revolution, and defending the independence, security, and territorial integrity of dear Iran.
Major General Abdollahi enumerated the achievements of the IRGC in various fields, including neutralizing the plot of counter-revolutionary and terrorist groups to disintegrate the country in the early months of the birth of the Islamic system, confronting the arrogant powers during the eight years of the Sacred Defense, and countering the U.S.-Zionist aggression and imposed war against Iran, and stated that these achievements are a source of pride for Iran.
He noted that the heroic Iranian nation today takes pride in the authority, readiness, and comprehensive strategic capabilities of the IRGC and other defenders of the homeland, which have driven the Zionist enemy and the terrorist, criminal United States to desperation and exhaustion.
Major General Abdollahi noted that the brave Armed Forces of the country, together with the Government and the proud, wonder-working Iranian nation, united and unified in full compliance with the directives and orders of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, are more determined than ever, ready to deliver decisive, definitive, and immediate responses to enemy threats and actions, and will not allow the lying and delusional U.S. president to exploit or create false and fabricated narratives about the situation on the ground — especially regarding the management and control of the Strait of Hormuz — and will appropriately respond to any violation of commitment.
