Iran’s position is clear: it will not initiate a conflict with the United States nor launch a preemptive strike. However, should a direct confrontation with the U.S. occur, Iran would consider it a “war for survival.” This conflict would be full-scale and vastly different from the previous 12-day war.

The outbreak of war could halt oil and gas supplies from West Asia and potentially the Caucasus, and any country hosting U.S. military bases could be drawn into the conflict.

Iran upheld its commitments under the JCPOA but endured damages and a loss of trust, particularly during the Trump presidency. We seek an amended and improved agreement.
