U.S. must choose ceasefire or continued war by Israel

The U.S. should decide whether it wants a ceasefire or continued war by Israel, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated, warning that the U.S. violated a two-week truce by allowing Israel to massacre hundreds of civilians in Lebanon.

“Iran–U.S. ceasefire terms are clear and explicit: The U.S. must choose, ceasefire or continued war via Israel,” Araghchi wrote on his X on Wednesday, adding, “It cannot have both.”
The warning came after Israel’s Army announced that it had carried out its largest attack across Lebanon since it started a new military operation in the country in early March.
Lebanon’s Civil Defence announced that at least 254 people were killed and 1,165 others were wounded in the Zionist regime’s attacks on Wednesday.
Earlier on Wednesday, the U.S. formally accepted Iran’s 10-point proposal as the foundation for a ceasefire, conceding to every core demand put forward by Tehran.
One of the points of the proposal is cessation of attacks on all fronts, including in Lebanon.
The Iranian foreign minister also said the ceasefire accord reached through Pakistani mediation explicitly included Lebanon.
“The world sees the massacres in Lebanon,” he wrote.
“The ball is in the U.S. court, and the world is watching whether it will act on its commitments,” the ranking diplomat concluded.
