The Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a meeting with Armenian Minister of Defense, emphasized the depth of the historical and strategic ties between Tehran and Yerevan, underscoring the Islamic Republic of Iran’s opposition to any geopolitical alterations in the region and the interference of supra-regional actors.

Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh stated that sustainable security should be achieved through the interaction and cooperation of regional states, and that Iran remains highly sensitive to any disruption of geopolitical equations or external interventions. Highlighting the necessity of preserving the territorial integrity of regional states, he characterized certain foreign interferences as having malign intent that could destabilize the region.
The Defense Minister further assessed bilateral defense cooperation between Iran and Armenia in line with strengthening relations and enhancing regional security, stressing that while the Islamic Republic of Iran does not seek war, it will defend itself robustly should any aggression be imposed.
