Iranian and Spanish Foreign Ministers held a telephone conversation to discuss the latest regional and international developments as well as Tehran-Madrid bilateral ties.

In the call on Sunday night, Araghchi and Albares exchanged views on diplomatic initiatives of the Islamic Republic aimed at ending the war of aggression imposed by the United States and Israeli regime on Iran.
Araghchi also emphasized Iran’s commitment to, and responsible approach in the path of preserving stability and sustainable security in the West Asia region.
The top Iranian and Spanish diplomats have held a number of talks, focusing on ways to expand mutual relations and the recent US-Israeli war, which Spain had, from the very beginning, described as illegal and counterproductive with wide-ranging consequences.
Iran has already hailed the principled positions of the Spanish government and people in opposing the military aggression against Iran and condemning the war crimes committed against the Iranians.
