Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir discussed the latest regional developments, including Israeli violations of a ceasefire in Iran and Lebanon.

Araghchi, in a phone conversation with Field Marshall Munir on Wednesday, appreciated Pakistan’s constructive and responsible role in mediating the ceasefire in the joint US-Israeli war on Iran, as well as Islamabad’s intent for strengthening peace and security in the region.
The top diplomat, however, raised the cases of ceasefire violations both in Iran and Lebanon, just hours after it went into effect.
Araghchi and Munir also referred to a phone conversation between Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, emphasizing the importance of continuing coordination and following up on the agreed points of the ceasefire.
