Vice Speaker of the Iranian Parliament stated that Iran will not hold any talks regarding its nuclear energy program or the Strait of Hormuz, adding that this very stance is why the enemy has abandoned the negotiating table.

Speaking to a gathering in Zanjan’s Enghelab Square on Thursday night, Ali Nikzad said a 10-point ceasefire proposal had been on the agenda, including a truce on the resistance front, the lifting of primary and secondary sanctions, preservation of nuclear energy capabilities across various fields, the removal of US bases, refraining from talks on nuclear matters, compensation for damages, and more. According to Nikzad, resistance was both the starting point and the conclusion of these efforts.
He noted that as soon as talks began, the enemy changed its conditions and raised new demands—such as a 20-year suspension of visible nuclear activities. Nikzad also said the enemy was misleading the public by raising issues like handing over uranium reserves and having Oman replace Iran in managing the Strait of Hormuz. In response, he said, Iran’s negotiating team delivered a sharp reply to the United States.
The Vice Speaker emphasized, “Iran will not enter into any negotiations on the issue of nuclear energy or the Strait of Hormuz.”
He added that the US record of lies and betrayal—seen in countries including Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Chile—has repeated itself, and such humiliating treatment continues even toward nations like Japan.
