Brigadier General Alireza Sheikh, speaking in a live TV interview on Saturday on the occasion of the 29th of Farvardin — Army Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran — said: “No country, after losing its Leader and senior military commanders in such an incident, could react so quickly and stand with such precision and effectiveness against the volume of enemies on multiple fronts.
“Brigadier General Sheikh stated that what was witnessed during these 40 days of resistance by the Armed Forces and the people against the great powers was the breaking of the enemy’s aura of invincibility. While they entered the field with all their technological support, they were defeated by a standing nation.He emphasized: “The Army, as a popular symbol of defense and the nation’s force, has reestablished its place among the components of national power. Its effects can be seen throughout history — after the first imposed war (Iran–Iraq War), in last June’s war, and its lessons learned, as well as in the management of the recent war.
“The Deputy Executive of the Army added: “The Ground Force, Air Defense, Navy, Air Force, IRGC, and Border Guards — all in a cohesive chain — form a value-based entity called the Armed Forces, which today is a source of authority, dignity, and solidarity with the people of Iran.”
