Foreign Ministry Spokesperson strongly slammed the terrorist Israeli attacks on residential areas in Beirut’s southern suburb, which resulted in numerous Lebanese casualties and extensive damage to Lebanon’s infrastructure.

In a statement early on Friday, Esmaeil Baqaei extended condolences to the families of the victims and expressed sympathy with the Lebanese people and government.
He also stressed the solidarity of the Islamic Republic of Iran with Lebanon in the face of the Zionist regime’s aggression, wishing a speedy recovery to those injured in the terrorist attacks.
Referring to the continuation of the Israeli regime’s military aggression against Lebanon and its repeated use of prohibited weapons, including phosphorus bombs, Spokesperson said that the situation is a direct result of the support and complicity of the US and some other countries, including Germany and Britain, with the Israeli regime in violating international law and committing genocide and war crimes against the nations of the region.
Baqaei also underscored the responsibility of the UN Security Council and all governments to hold the perpetrators accountable and punish the criminals.
