Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said American lives and taxpayers’ money should not be sacrificed for a reckless and meaningless war, reacting to reported protests across several US states and cities.

Writing on X on Sunday night, Baghaei emphasized that demonstrations were taking place across the United States and other countries to protest the military aggression of the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran.
“The largest protests in U.S. history are unfolding across the country as Americans demand an end to the illegal war their administration has chosen to wage against Iran,” the spokesperson noted.
He referred to the courage of the American people who oppose the warmongering policy of their administrations, saying: “For years, the American public has demonstrated remarkable moral courage by consistently opposing the misguided and warmongering policies of their administrations.”
Baghaei further mentioned: “Decisions that flagrantly breach international law and starkly violate fundamental human values are often made in secrecy, yet they will ultimately be judged by the public opinion and the global conscience. Iran harbors no hostility toward the American people.”
He concluded: “No American lives or tax dollars should be sacrificed for a senseless “war of whims” driven by vicious whims of indicted war criminals.”
