Iran\u2019s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned \u201caggressive acts\u201d by the United States against an Iranian oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz and a telecommunications tower on Qeshm Island, warning that the Islamic Republic will use \u201call available capacities\u201d to defend its territorial integrity and national sovereignty.<\/p>\n
Tehran- IranView24<\/strong><\/p>\n In a statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry said the attacks were carried out in the early hours of the morning from the territory of two regional countries. It stressed that the assaults constituted a blatant violation of the April 8 ceasefire understanding as well as a clear breach of international law and Article 2(4) of the United Nations Charter, which prohibits the use of force.<\/p>\n The statement also denounced the \u201ccolonial use\u201d of the territory and facilities of regional states by the United States to advance hostile operations against Iran. The Foreign Ministry specifically pointed to the \u201cdirect and explicit responsibility\u201d of the rulers of Kuwait and Bahrain regarding the overnight attacks.<\/p>\n According to the ministry, any country that allows its land, airspace, waters, or military facilities to be used in support of aggression against Iran is violating fundamental principles of international law and good neighborliness.
