The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced that the headquarters of the US Navy\u2019s Fifth Fleet was targeted in a missile and drone operation carried out by the IRGC Aerospace Force.<\/p>\n
Tehran-IranView24<\/strong><\/p>\n According to a statement released by the Sepah News website early Wednesday, the action was conducted in response to a series of US military attacks.<\/p>\n The IRGC declared that late Tuesday night, a US aircraft struck an Iranian oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz, causing damage to its engine room.<\/p>\n In retaliation, the IRGC said its naval forces launched missiles at a vessel identified as MSC Panaya, which it described as being affiliated with US and Israeli interests.<\/p>\n The statement further said that US forces later targeted an IRGC communications tower in the southern part of Qeshm Island.
