Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, referring to the recent talks with the U.S., says the renewed threats and excessive demands from the American side spoiled the chance of reaching a possible agreement.<\/p>\n

“In intensive talks at the highest level in 47 years, Iran engaged with U.S. in good faith to end the war,” Araghchi wrote on his X account on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

“But when just inches away from Islamabad MoU, we encountered maximalism, shifting goalposts, and blockade,” he explained the reasons the talks between the U.S. and Iran ended without a breakthrough.<\/p>\n

“Zero lessons learned,” Araghchi rebuked the American negotiators, arguing that “Good will begets good will. Enmity begets enmity.”<\/p>\n

The 21 hours of marathon talks in Islamabad ended without a deal that Iran blamed on the United States\u2019 excessive and irrational demands.<\/p>\n

The high-ranking delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and accompanied by Araghchi, departed Islamabad for Tehran on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
