Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei says diplomacy will continue following the longest round of talks between Iran and the United States.<\/p>\n

Speaking in a televised interview on Sunday, Baghaei said, \u201cDiplomacy never ends, and the diplomatic apparatus will continue its work to secure, preserve, and safeguard national interests.\u201d<\/p>\n

He noted that the Islamabad talks, which lasted nearly 24 hours continuously, addressed \u201cvery complex issues,\u201d including the Strait of Hormuz and broader regional matters.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was natural that such issues could not be resolved within nearly 24 hours of negotiations,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Baghaei said the two sides reached agreements in some areas, but differences remained on key issues, particularly the Strait of Hormuz and regional issues.<\/p>\n

He stressed that the talks were held after 40 days of war and several days of ceasefire, \u201cnot in an atmosphere of distrust, but in an atmosphere of suspicion.\u201d<\/p>\n

The spokesperson also rebuked the United States for committing aggression twice over nine months with the participation of the Israeli regime.<\/p>\n
