Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force Brigadier General Esmail Qaani warned that the U.S. and Israel should expect new surprises after several American aircraft were shot down by Iran over the skies of the country.<\/p>\n

Writing on X on Sunday, Qaani reminded the U.S. that its previous rescue operations inside Iran had ended in failure just as its most recent bid to retrieve a downed airman resulted in the loss of two American military jets and two helicopters.<\/span><\/div>\n

He drew parallels between the U.S. mission in recent days and the 1980 Operation Eagle Claw, also known as the Tabas disaster, in which a U.S. mission to free American spies in Iran failed in the desert.<\/span><\/div>\n

On Friday, Iran destroyed two U.S. C-130 transport aircraft and two Black Hawk helicopters, which had come to rescue the airman whose F-15 fighter jet had been shot down by Tehran.<\/span><\/div>\n

By mentioning the \u201ccharred Israeli vessel\u201d in the Mediterranean, the top general was referring to a statement by Hezbollah, which stressed it had targeted an Israeli warship about 68 nautical miles off Lebanon\u2019s coast.<\/span><\/div>\n

He further warned that the \u201cEpstein elite\u201d should expect further \u201csurprises\u201d across the region.<\/span><\/div>\n
