We continuously convey this stance to the parties involved. A U.S. attack on Iran would be disastrous for the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Kurtulmu\u015f warned, \u201cEven if it begins as a short-term strike, it could last for a long time and lead to major vulnerabilities and turmoil with unpredictable consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He argued that the United States should draw lessons from its previous military interventions. \u201cIt did not achieve what it sought from the occupation of Afghanistan, the occupation of Iraq, or other interventions.
