Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has called on the Iranian nation to demonstrate its will and steadfastness on the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, saying such unity would disappoint the country\u2019s enemy.<\/p>\n
In a televised message issued ahead of the February 11 rallies marking the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei described the day as a manifestation of the Iranian nation\u2019s power and dignity.<\/p>\n
\u201cBahman 22nd (February 11) every year is the day of unveiling the power and dignity of the Iranian nation,\u201d the Leader said, describing the nation as motivated, resolute, steadfast, appreciative, and aware of its own situation.<\/p>\n
He said the Iranian people achieved a \u201cgreat victory\u201d on February\u00a011, 1979, by freeing themselves and their country from \u201cforeign interference,\u201d adding that foreign powers have sought ever since to restore the previous circumstances.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Iranian nation is standing firm,\u201d Ayatollah Khamenei asserted. \u201cThe symbol of this steadfastness is Bahman 22nd.\u201d<\/p>\n
He called the annual rallies \u201cunparalleled\u201d in the world, saying there is no other example of a nation marking its independence every year with such massive nationwide participation.<\/p>\n
The demonstrations \u201cforce those who covet Iran and its interests to retreat,\u201d Ayatollah Khamenei said.<\/p>\n
\u201cNational power is related more to the will of nations and their steadfastness than to missiles and aircraft,\u201d he said, urging the people to continue showing their resolve in various arenas.<\/p>\n
\u201cDisappoint the enemy,\u201d the Leader stated, arguing that a nation remains exposed to harm as long as its enemies are not disappointed.<\/p>\n
He said unity, strong will, motivation, and resistance to the enemy\u2019s temptations are the pillars of national power.<\/p>\n
Ayatollah Khamenei also expressed hope that Iran\u2019s youth would advance in science, action, piety, ethics, and material and spiritual progress, creating pride for the country.<\/p>\n
He said February 11 reflects all these qualities, as people take to the streets to express unity, loyalty to the Islamic Republic, and commitment to the nation.<\/p>\n
