He expressed appreciation to \u201call friendly countries that, with concern and goodwill, have worked to help create the conditions for a diplomatic process.\u201d<\/p>\n He added that the timing and venue of the talks should not become a subject of media speculation, stressing: \u201cIn principle, the time and place of the talks are not complicated issues and should not be used as a pretext for media maneuvering.\u201d<\/p>\n Baghaei noted that Turkey, Oman, and several other regional countries had declared their readiness to host the talks, describing these offers as highly valuable.<\/p>\n Media reports on possible venue<\/strong><\/p>\n The comments came amid media reports suggesting that the talks could take place in Istanbul. On Monday, Reuters reported that Iran and the US were planning to hold a new round of negotiations focused on Tehran\u2019s nuclear energy program, citing anonymous Iranian and US officials and diplomats.<\/p>\n According to the report, the talks would involve Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US special envoy Steve Witkoff, with representatives from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt also expected to attend various bilateral and multilateral meetings.<\/p>\n There was no immediate reaction from Iranian officials to the Reuters\u2019 report.
