On the eve of the anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s passing, Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, along with senior officials and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited the mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Republic to renew their allegiance to his ideals.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the ceremony, Araghchi stated:<\/p>\n

\u00a0“Imam Khomeini was not only the architect of the Islamic Revolution but also of our foreign policy. The cornerstone of this policy is the principle of rejecting foreign domination, a concept deeply rooted in Imam\u2019s historic opposition to capitulation laws imposed by foreign powers.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From Capitulation to Enrichment: A Continuum of Sovereignty<\/strong><\/p>\n

Referring to the principle of \u201cNeither East nor West,\u201d Araghchi clarified that it symbolizes rejection of reliance and subordination, not rejection of international engagement.<\/p>\n

He linked this principle directly to Iran\u2019s nuclear policy:<\/p>\n

\u00a0“Western opposition to Iran\u2019s uranium enrichment is not about security\u2014it\u2019s an attempt to impose dominance. This is unacceptable to the Iranian people. Enrichment is not just a technical need; it is a symbol of national sovereignty and resistance to external pressure.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Araghchi reiterated Iran\u2019s long-standing position against nuclear weapons, stating:<\/p>\n

“We share the goal of nuclear disarmament with the West, but unlike them, we respect our obligations. They continue to violate their NPT commitments while lecturing others.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Firm on Principles, Guided by Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n

The foreign minister concluded by emphasizing Iran\u2019s unwavering stance:<\/p>\n
