Following the release of Austria\u2019s annual intelligence report<\/strong> containing baseless allegations regarding Iran\u2019s peaceful nuclear activities<\/strong>, Michaela Pacher, Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires of the Austrian Embassy in Tehran<\/strong>, was summoned on Friday, May 30, 2025, by Alireza Moulaghadimi, Director General for Western Europe at Iran\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n During the meeting, Iran\u2019s strong protest<\/strong> over the contents of the Austrian intelligence report<\/strong> was formally conveyed. Moulaghadimi firmly rejected the claims made in the report, stating they are in direct contradiction with numerous reports issued by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA),<\/strong> which consistently confirm the peaceful nature of Iran\u2019s nuclear program.<\/p>\n He described the Austrian intelligence body\u2019s allegations\u2014made without any credible evidence\u2014as \u201cirresponsible and provocative<\/strong>,\u201d and called on the Austrian government to provide an official explanation for the conduct of its national institution.<\/p>\n In response, the Austrian Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires<\/strong> pledged to promptly convey Iran\u2019s objection and request for clarification to her government in Vienna.<\/p>\n In a related statement today, Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,<\/strong> condemned the Austrian intelligence agency\u2019s report as \u201cfalse, unfounded, and politically motivated,<\/strong>\u201d asserting that it aimed to manipulate media narratives against the Islamic Republic of Iran.<\/p>\n Baghaei emphasized Iran\u2019s full compliance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)<\/strong> and the stringent inspection regime imposed by the IAEA.
