Ali Akbar Ahmadian<\/strong>, Secretary of Iran\u2019s Supreme National Security Council<\/strong>, delivered a powerful address on Wednesday at the 13th International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues<\/strong> held in Moscow, calling for the establishment of an equal and sustainable global security architecture<\/strong> rooted in justice and multilateralism.<\/p>\n

Speaking to senior officials from over 100 countries<\/strong>, Ahmadian criticised the hegemonic policies of Western powers<\/strong>, accusing them of exploiting tools such as sanctions<\/strong> and technological control<\/strong> to deny nations their inherent rights. He specifically pointed to Western efforts to curtail Iran\u2019s peaceful nuclear program<\/strong> as a clear example of this agenda.<\/p>\n

“Unilateralism<\/strong> and the imposition of the will of arrogant powers have led to countless human tragedies,” Ahmadian said. “The West Asia<\/strong> region is a living testimony to these atrocities, from Yemen<\/strong> to Lebanon<\/strong>, Syria<\/strong>, Afghanistan<\/strong>, and Iraq<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

He condemned the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza<\/strong>, describing it as an “unprecedented crime” where, beyond mass killings, women and children are being starved<\/strong> silently and systematically. Ahmadian blamed the Western-dominated international political and security systems<\/strong> for enabling such violations.<\/p>\n

From Iran’s perspective, he asserted, security must be people-centric, <\/strong>promoting the independence and freedom of nations<\/strong>, not serving the interests of a few global powers.<\/p>\n

The Iranian official emphasised the need for a new global security order<\/strong> based on multilateralism<\/strong> and equal rights<\/strong>. “Only through a multipolar world<\/strong> can we achieve lasting peace, justice, and inclusive security<\/strong> for all nations,” he said.<\/p>\n

The conference officially opened with a video address from Russian President Vladimir Putin<\/strong>, signaling the importance of the event amid ongoing geopolitical shifts.<\/p>\n

Sergey Shoygu<\/strong>, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, confirmed the presence of 126 high-ranking delegations from 104 countries<\/strong>, including national security advisors, intelligence chiefs, ministers, and 13 representatives from major international organizations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
