Iran’s enemies are often reluctant to understand people’s reality. Instead, they focus on their calculations and plans. Knowing they can achieve their purposes faster by analysing and predicting the behaviour of Iranian people, their approach is largely away from the reality determined to them.

If it is to provide a list of enemies’ failures of the Islamic republic of Iran regarding their plans, plots, and acts against the country, it may result in a book having thousands of pages. The U.S., the Zionist regime, and their allies have permanently been seeking to attain their goals against the Islamic republic, targeting various layers of Iranian policy and society. Nevertheless, these attempts have already led to defeat. The Dey 22 epic and the glorious attendance of Iranians on the streets constituted another page of the book of the defeat invalidating a large number of analyses and framings presented inside and outside Iran regarding the Iranian society. Although there is no scope for the comprehension of the why and how of this invalidation, attempts were made in this note to briefly explain a number of main centres, focusing on the enemies’ failure in understanding the reality of Iranians.
The ‘human’ policy in contrast to the ‘inhuman’ policy
A most important reason why the enemies cannot understand is the essential difference in their political and value foundations. The policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been formed based on the centrality of the ‘human being’ and their rights. In this system, contrary to the Western policy, people are not merely considered as the tools of interests and hegemony, but rightful individuals having self-determination whose presence in politics arena is decisive. In contrast, the enemies’ policy is solely based on material interests and hegemonism. They seek to impose their will on other countries, and regard people as passive, controllable agents in politics. Such a fundamental difference hinders the correct understanding of motivations and behaviours.
Analytical bias in hegemony-based calculations
Iran’s enemies do not most often incline to understand the reality of the individuals, instead, focusing on their calculations and plans. Knowing they can achieve their purposes faster by analysing and predicting the behaviour of Iranian people, their approach is largely away from the reality determined to them. The exclusive concentration on hegemony-based calculations has restricted their views, making them unable to be insightful. The analytical bias has caused them to seek short-term and self-interested ways, and to arrive rapidly at the end regarding to their aggressive actions.
Creating an Iranophobic, unrealistic media sphere, Iran’s enemies have tried and are still trying to portray Iran and Iranians in a negative way. However, it seemed as if they themselves have also been affected by the very framing and conditions, as well as lies they have spread intentionally. Their gradual belief in unrealistic, self-created environment causes the gradual distortion of their strategies and calculations.
The complexity and depth of Iranian nature
The understanding of Iranians is not easy as Iranian nation is a nation having a long, deep history, and large numbers of components are involved in the comprehension of its nature and attributes. To know this nation requires lived experience and a direct relationship with the society. Some domestic experts and authorities have yet to depict Iranian society precisely and correctly, let alone those living abroad, attempting to know the people only through media.
As long as the enemies cannot take the points into account, and do not follow the Iranian genuine will, their efforts to impose their willpower on Iran will led to defeat. This indicates the power and resistance of the Iranian people as well as their willpower to protect national sovereignty and independence. It should be noted that a constructive and persistent interaction could only be achieved via the deep, accurate understanding of the Iranian people.
