Tehran – ISNA – According to a statement released by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Sunday evening: “Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, amidst the Iran-U.S. negotiations, held a telephone discussion with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi regarding the situation in Iran.”
As reported by Sputnik, the Russian Ministry added: “The Foreign Ministers of Russia and Oman emphasized the necessity of facilitating the negotiation process between Iran and the United States.”
This diplomatic outreach follows the conclusion of indirect talks between Iran and the U.S. in Muscat on Friday, which ended with a mutual understanding to continue the dialogue. On the same day, the Omani Foreign Minister underscored the atmosphere of serious negotiations in Muscat, stating: “The results of today’s meeting will be carefully reviewed in both Tehran and Washington.”
