The Persian Gulf Cooperation Council welcomed the Iran–U.S. talks being held in Oman, describing the negotiations as a positive step toward de-escalating regional tensions.

GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al Budaiwi praised Oman’s hosting of the talks as a valuable initiative, highlighting Muscat’s constructive role in supporting regional and international dialogue and mutual understanding efforts.
He also expressed hope that the consultations would yield positive outcomes that contribute to reinforce calm, regional security and stability, and advance shared interests, and reinforce the basis for cooperation and development more than before.
