The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement regarding European Parliament’s interventionist and irresponsible resolution announced:
Any illegal and interventionist decision or stance regarding the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the country’s security guards will be met with Iran’s countermeasure.
The European Parliament, many of whose members have been responsible for the blatant violation of the human rights of Iranians in different ways, including supporting the imposition of cruel sanctions, and being in complete compliance with the U.S. illegal sanctions against Iran, as well as being complicit with the Zionist regime in committing the crime of military aggression against Iran, has not morally deserved to preach about human rights.
The affirmative silence of the European Parliament and its leaders towards the genocide in occupied Palestine, and the ignoring of the crimes committed on the streets of Iran are two sides of the same coin.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while expressing disgust at the derogatory statements included in the European Parliament’s resolution regarding the country’s legal personalities and institutions, states that any illegal and interventionist decision or stance in relation to the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the guardians of the country’s security will be met with Iran’s countermeasure, and the responsibility for its consequences lies with its supporters.
