Iran’s defensive and missile capabilities non-negotiable

The Foreign Minister of Islamic Republic of Iran, in a joint press conference with the Turkish Foreign Minister, emphasized, “Iran distinguishes between “negotiation” and “imposition of will,” stating, “A dialogue whose outcome is pre-determined lacks diplomatic legitimacy; the Islamic Republic of Iran will never engage in such a process.“

He added, “from Iran’s perspective, talks conducted under threats cannot be considered negotiations, and coercive approaches have no place in Iran’s diplomatic interactions.“

Araghchi, underlining Iran’s red lines, stressed, “The country’s defensive capabilities and missile power, as core elements of providing and safeguarding the national security, will under no circumstances be subject to negotiation or compromise.“

The Foreign Minister also noted, “The security of the Iranian nation is a firm red line, and the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves the right to maintain, strengthen, and develop its defense infrastructure, just as no country makes its defensive tools a subject of negotiation, Iran will also make no exception.“
