Iranian people stand by the Islamic Republic and its establishment

Iran’s Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali says the Islamic Republic has always overcome challenges, relying on three components, namely the eternal divine essence, the popular support for the Islamic establishment, and the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

Jalali made the remarks in his address to a group of Russian Muslim religious scholars and experts who gathered in Moscow on Monday evening to express solidarity with Iran.

Referring to recent foreign-backed unrest and US military threats against Iran, he said he was confident the Islamic Republic’s three influential components would help it passage through the current critical juncture.

He said that the massive presence of Iranian people in historic national wide rallies on January 12 was a testimony that the people, despite facing economic problems and protesting the actions of some officials, are standing by the Islamic Republic and its establishment.

Pointing to US President Donald Trump’s insulting remarks against Ayatollah Khamenei that sparked global condemnations, Jalali said Westerners knew that such remarks were outrageous, because Iran’s Leader is a religious figure, who not only belongs to Iranians, but his fans and admirers live in different parts of the world.

He emphasized that Ayatollah Khamenei’s strong personality is one of the reasons of the antagonistic approach of the enemies.

The envoy also appreciated the sentiments of Russian Muslims and Christians with the people and leadership of Iran, calling it an indication of unity between the two nations.

Elsewhere in his speech, Jalali referred to the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the struggle between right and wrong, saying Iran has always walked a clear path in the fight against wrongdoing and has been confronted with all kinds of conspiracies for more than four decades.

According to him, some of the conspiracies hatched by the enemies in recent years were in the form of inciting separatist and terrorist elements, imposing war, assassinating Iranian officials and citizens, sanctions, threats and the shooting down of a passenger plane by an American warship over the Persian Gulf.

Jalali underlined that the last crime of the West over the past 47 years was the January unrest when trained individuals and groups entered the streets with weapons to implement the West’s desired killing project in Iran.
