Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in a joint statement, called for the immediate withdrawal of the Israeli occupying forces from Syrian territory.

In the joint statement issued Wednesday following the meeting between Erdogan and bin Salman, Saudi Arabia and Turkey stressed the need to preserve Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to implement a ceasefire, demanding Israel’s immediate withdrawal from the country.
Since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government in Syria, the Israeli regime has exploited the existing security vacuum and, in addition to carrying out extensive bombardments of Syrian defense facilities and warplanes, has advanced in the Quneitra region in southern Syria, occupying parts of southern Syria, including the strategic Mount Hermon (Jabal al-Sheikh) heights.
