Speaking during a visit to Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Brigadier General Ali Jahanshahi said the deployment of mobile offensive units, rapid reaction forces, drone units, electronic warfare capabilities and Army Aviation in the region has played a key role in preserving, enhancing and sustaining border security.

During the visit, Jahanshahi assessed the combat readiness of Army Ground Force units stationed along Iran’s southeastern borders.

Referring to coordination among the armed forces, he said the vigilance and cohesion of Iran’s military institutions have contributed to the high level of power of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region.

He added that Iran’s borders have “always and in all periods” been threatened by enemies, but the strong presence of Army Ground Force units, border guards and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has ensured that no insecurity or potential threat has materialized.

The commander also underlined the importance of proper training and the use of modern combat methods, saying they have boosted the Ground Force’s capabilities and created deterrence against adversaries.

Jahanshahi noted that enemies are now seeking to create divisions among the public through psychological operations, but said the awareness of the people and Iran’s military capabilities have rendered such efforts ineffective.
