Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the framework of the nuclear negotiations is based on shared principles and that progress will depend on the other side’s approach. He made the remarks in response to a question from an IranView24 correspondent in Muscat.

Baghaei stressed that if the U.S. negotiating team demonstrates the necessary seriousness, proposed mechanisms to move the talks forward can be put on the table.
He also pointed to the negative impact of certain U.S. positions and media reactions, adding that issuing a statement after today’s negotiations could help pave the way for more serious dialogue.
