Brigadier General Behmard made the remarks during a Sunday meeting with commanders and personnel from the Army Air Force and the Air Defense Force, which was attended by Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chairman of the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, to commemorate Air Force Day.
Behmard emphasized that, despite facing equipment and technological sanctions as well as intense hard and soft warfare, the Army Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran remains undeterred by the Western narrative that portrays a division between an advanced West and a backward Iran.
He added that the Air Force, built on the principles of agility and deterrence, is fully capable of responding to both regional and extra-regional threats.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Brigadier General Behmard referred to the Air Force’s actions during the 12-day imposed war, emphasizing, “During the 12-day imposed war, without any fear of enemy attacks, the Air Force not only carried out scramble missions and air patrols, but also conducted offensive unmanned operations, executing one of the largest aerial strikes against the targets of the fake Zionist regime in the shortest possible time.”
