Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tarik hosted Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi today, Sunday, at Al Baraka Palace in Muscat to discuss regional stability and diplomatic efforts to end the current conflict.

The two sides held high-level consultations regarding the latest developments in the region, including the status of ongoing mediation efforts aimed at ending the hostilities. During the meeting, the Sultan was briefed on Iran’s perspectives and considerations regarding the current security landscape.
Sultan Haitham bin Tarik shared his vision for advancing diplomatic initiatives to achieve sustainable political solutions and mitigate the crisis’s impact on the peoples of the region. As reported by the Oman News Agency (ONA), the Sultan emphasized the critical importance of prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy as the primary tools for conflict resolution and the establishment of lasting peace.
For his part, Araghchi expressed Iran’s deep appreciation for Oman’s balanced and constructive positions. He praised the Sultanate’s consistent support for dialogue and its active role in promoting security and stability, particularly given the unprecedented challenges currently facing the Middle East.
Araghchi’s audience with the Sultan is a key stop in his regional diplomatic tour, which began in Islamabad and is expected to continue with high-level talks in Moscow.
