In a statement posted on X on Monday, the organization reacted to an attack by criminal regimes of the U.S. and Israel, stressing the vital role of heavy water and its derivatives in pharmaceuticals, disease diagnosis and treatment, and advanced industries.
“US-Israeli attack on Iran’s heavy water facility is a crime against science & human health,” it said.
The organization underlined that such actions would not deter Iran’s scientific development, saying, “Our scientific progress will not be halted, nor will our resolve to serve global peace/health.”
The country’s heavy water production plant in the Khondab region was targeted on March 27, leaving parts of the facility out of operation following the strike.
