According to the Public Relations Office of the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, Ishaq Dar made a call to Araghchi to exchange views on the latest developments in Iran and the region, as well as, potential initiatives aimed at halting the US-Israeli imposed war on the Islamic Republic.

The top Pakistani diplomat, who also holds the portfolio of deputy prime minister, emphasized the need for reducing tensions, saying dialogue and diplomacy remain the only practical way to achieve sustainable peace in the West Asia region.

Consultations between Ishaq Dar and Araghchi came ahead of a four-way meeting on Sunday between the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey, in Islamabad.

The event in the Pakistani capital aims to make collective efforts to stop the war and advance peace negotiations in the region.
