Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, held a telephone conversation to discuss the latest regional developments and the status of indirect talks between Tehran and Washington.

During the call, the two Foreign Ministers reviewed the progress of indirect talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States. They stressed the necessity of continued consultations and close cooperation to facilitate and advance the diplomatic path within the framework of regional initiatives.
Both top diplomats underscored that sustained regional collaboration remains the most effective way to push the diplomatic process forward and ensure regional stability.
The phone call follows the recent conclusion of the second round of indirect talks in Geneva, where both Iranian and American officials reported “tangible progress” on a set of guiding principles for future agreements.
