The public relations office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that a combined, live-fire, and targeted exercise titled “Smart Control of the Strait of Hormuz,” spearheaded by the IRGC Navy and under the oversight and field supervision of the IRGC’s Chief Commander, Major General Pakpour, is currently underway in the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

In this exercise, the readiness level of the IRGC Navy’s operational units is being evaluated, and contingency and security plans, as well as counter-response scenarios to potential military and security threats in the region are being practiced. The exercise aims to intelligently utilize the geopolitical advantages of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
